Well, I did it again. Sorta. I didn’t blow anything up this time, but instead decided to fracture what this domain is for and move the portfolio stuff to a new umbrella, Mockingbird Studio. Once the idea came to me, it was go go go. I finally got the site launched while sitting in Broadway Cafe in Chicago on a Friday night. Unrelated, if you happen to be in Chicago, I 100% recommend their Chicago-style brownie. I didn’t even know there was a Chicago-style brownie. Unrelated unrelated – the actual Broadway Cafe looks nothing like the photos on that site, so I managed to walk right past it while looking for it.

I kept Mockingbird on WordPress because I’m comfortable developing in WordPress and it really fits my needs. I used patterns and templates and not so much in custom blocks this time. There was a learning curve but I got it deployed pretty quickly. Then I had to move over my projects which I did manually because, why not. Made a few tweaks here and there but it’s up. This site will become my personal blog and I may eventually add a blog to Mockingbird but I’m not in a rush for that just yet.
